you’re all i see

i’ll never leave

sing me this lullaby

as you kiss my eyelids close

your warmth is the last thing i remember

when i meet my dark, cold end

and when i meet the angels

who will take me to the hereafter

they will wipe my tears and ask,

“was dying for him worth it?”

i will remember the way you smiled,

the way your hand looked holding mine,

and how much you felt like home

and i will respond,

“i would opened the gates of eden,

if i knew he was on the other side”
